I am a Realtor/Loan Agent and know very little about websites. I have been told that I need to have a website presence for marketing purposes. Can anyone advise me on the best way to get started?

They are a good, basic web hosting service that can set you up for free or cheap. They have an easy website builder with templates and a lot of free stuff you can get. (Forums, hit counters, etc.)
A web site can be a HUGE marketing tool. I’d suggest that you start with something small and do some research on Search Engine Marketing.

Hiring a freelancer to build you a site might also be a good investment. If you are strapped for cash – contact a local collage with web design classes and hire a student who is looking for experience.
Ask the students to send any resumes or samples and you can hire one for less than a professional.
