By admin · November 30, 2010 · Filed in Web Site Marketing · 2 Comments »

I’m looking to start an online community with links to sports teams, a discussion board, shopping, stock market, etc… How do I go about programming something like that and what type of hardware/equipment do I need to host it?

Has anyone had experience of a web site called wealthmoneybox?

They apparently give you and then invest in stock market for two years and pay you at the end of that time.

What's the best way to make sure my financial advice web site adhere to government rules?

By admin · September 10, 2010 · Filed in Web Site Marketing · 1 Comment »

I’m run a stock market financial advice website. I would like to make sure that the necessary legal notices are on my site so that my company is not liable should someone loose money and put the blame on information they found on my site. I set my company up as a LLC but i’m sure that’s not enough.

If a freak accident caused electricity to cease, would mankind unite for the common good?

By admin · July 11, 2010 · Filed in Internet Marketing Tools · 11 Comments »

A freak solar flare strikes Earth. It’s massive. In hitting our planet, it instantly causes everything that uses electric to stop working. It also causes the Earths magnetic field to fluctuate so none of our "tools" that depend on electric or any of the electric generators will work. This fluctuation lasts years. It means that none of our transport works, so food cannot get to the shops. Canned food is no more. As are ready made meals. Our water sewage plants cease to function, so it is dumped directly in the rivers. Lights don’t work. Hospital treatment is crippled. The stock market is over ~ it relied on electric. Intensive farming is no more, as the machinery used, no longer works. All the information on the internet is lost. Our water supply, stops too, as it had often been pumped to get it to us. Even the solar and wind turbines, no longer work. We had, in essence, put all our eggs in one basket ~ the electric basket…

Could you survive on the knowledge you hold?

We should work together, but would we?

Please, if you have any thoughts on how we would cope, I’d like to hear them.

All answers are appreciated. All thoughts welcome.

I do not give thumbs down ~ ever

Thank you for answering…
These are great answers everyone. I am enjoying reading what you have to say…

Web site for detailed Canadian and US stock market data combined?

By admin · July 8, 2010 · Filed in Web Site Marketing · 1 Comment »

I use yahoo finance to get my stock market info generally, but the site does not have detailed financial info on canadian stocks, only stock price history.

What is the best financial site where I can easily look up full financial information on both US and Canadian stocks?

Where can I find a graph comparing historical returns of the stock market vs savings acct vs govt bonds?

By admin · June 27, 2010 · Filed in Internet Marketing Tools · 1 Comment »

The graph should compare the growth of a one-time investment (say, 00) made in each option at some point in the past, and should include the effects of compounding interest and divident reinvestment. I’d like to specify a starting and ending date. Ideally, the tool would include an option to adjust for inflation.

I’ve seldom seen such comparisons in print, and have yet to find such a graphing tool on the internet. Yahoo Finance charts compare performance of stocks, indexes, and treasuries, and allows adjustments to start/end dates. However, this tool does not include divident reinvestment, and does not include savings-account returns as a reference point.

I want to show sceptics that, over the long term, the stock market has consistently outperformed other investments, especially "no risk" options such as regular savings accounts and C.D.’s.
